Laurie Purcell has long enjoyed traveling in the Rocky Mountain west, enjoying the beautiful scenery. The resulting fine art prints provide magnificent images of the natural beauty of this area.

I have always felt very privileged to live in a country with such diverse forms of natural beauty.
I tend to focus on the more inanimate areas of nature. As a nature photographer, I’m drawn to the mountains, streams and rivers with all of the things that make up what the eye takes in when gazing at a beautiful scene. The old rustic barns that have been weathered by nature and time often garner my attention. I have spent years photographing in the Great Rocky Mountains and yet I know that there is still so much more to capture. My portfolio of nature photographs from the Rocky Mountains area is by far the largest of my image collection.
There is still so much nature photography that I want to photograph before I leave this earth! I have an extensive list of photo op’s. That’s a subject for another time.
